Steven Kommor, Esq. is a 1988 graduate of Hofstra University. As an undergraduate, Mr. Kommor earned a business degree while focusing in the areas of accounting, finance and public speaking. In addition, Mr. Kommor served as the captain of the Hofstra Ice Hockey team and was named three times as an All-Star player with the Metropolitan Eastern Hockey League.

Upon graduating from Hofstra University, Mr. Kommor pursued and obtained his law degree at New York law School. During his law school tenure, Mr. Kommor was awarded the American Jurisprudence award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Award.

In addition, Mr. Kommor was named as the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. While attending New York Law School, Mr. Kommor also served as a legal intern to the Honorable Bud Goodman of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Further, Mr. Kommor devoted his time as an intern for Catholic Charities Diocese of New York, and served as a summer intern at the Manhattan District Attorneys Office.

After graduating law school, Mr. Kommor served as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. As a prosecutor, Mr. Kommor conducted numerous trials and argued extensively before the New York State Appellate Division. In addition, Mr. Kommor served as a prosecutor in the Domestic Violence Unit where he investigated and prosecuted family offense cases.
At the conclusion of his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kommor entered into private practice. Since that time, Mr. Kommor has concentrated in the areas of Criminal Law, Matrimonial Law, Family Law, Appellate Advocacy and Trial Advocacy. Mr. Kommor has acquired significant experience in the handling of complex matrimonial cases involving issues of child custody, support, equitable distribution, and asset evaluation.
In addition, Mr. Kommor's services have been utilized by numerous prestigious law firms as trial advisor and counsel. Further, Mr. Kommor has lectured on behalf of several legal organizations including the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.
Jill S. Doyle, is a 1998 graduate of Briarcliffe College. Since that time she has worked as a paralegal in the areas of divorce law, criminal law, and family law, and family law. She has proven herself to be a highly qualified and talented paralegal. In addition, Ms. Doyle serves as office manager and client liaison. In this role, Ms. Doyle oversees the operation of the law firm and serves as personal trial assistant to Mr. Kommor.

This experience stems from his early years as a Manhattan prosecutor in which Mr. Kommor investigated and prosecuted scores of domestic violence matters.
Further, Mr. Kommor's knowledge and education in business/accounting has been vital to his success in representing clients who face a variety of financial and economic issues (i.e. division of property, separate property claims, business valuations, retirement and pension claims, child support, maintenance, taxation, and allocation of marital debt.
Mr. Kommor is well known and respected by judges, colleagues, and clients and has earned a reputation as an extremely skilled and aggressive trial attorney and litigator.
